Location: Sidney, BC

Salary: $22.00/hr plus competitive extended medical benefits package

The Role:

As our member services coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for members and guests, embodying the spirit of Eclective with every interaction. In addition to traditional reception duties, you’ll play a key role in our marketing efforts, helping to promote our space and engage our community.

Your responsibilities will include:

Greeting members and visitors with warmth and enthusiasm, making them feel welcome and valued.

Assisting with inquiries, membership sign-ups, and facility tours, providing information about our offerings and amenities.

Managing incoming calls and emails promptly and professionally, directing inquiries to the appropriate team members as needed.

Maintaining cleanliness and organization at the front desk and common areas, ensuring a pleasant and inviting environment for all.

Collaborating with the community curator to plan and execute marketing initiatives, including social media campaigns, email newsletters, and promotional events.

Contributing creative ideas and insights to enhance our brand presence and community engagement.

Serving it right and Foodsafe certifications are considered an asset.

We’re seeking a team member with a unique blend of customer service skills, marketing savvy, and a passion for coworking.

The ideal candidate will:

Have previous experience in reception or hospitality, with a demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Possess a background in marketing or a strong interest in marketing principles, with experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.

Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask effectively, with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail in all interactions, maintaining a positive attitude and a member-first mindset.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

1. Member Engagement:
– Greet members and visitors warmly, ensuring they feel welcome and supported.
– Serve as the primary point of contact for member inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
– Attend all member events and come up with creative ways to engage members.
– Conduct onboarding sessions for new members, familiarizing them with the space and amenities.

2. Marketing and Social Media:
– Manage social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, Facebook), create content, and run campaigns.
– Track and analyze social media engagement to increase member engagement and reach.
– Publish at least 3 pieces of content per week across platforms, ensuring consistency with the brand.
– Promote events and workshops, encouraging member participation.

3. Reception and Operations:
– Maintain the front desk area, ensuring it is organized, clean, and welcoming.
– Respond to emails, phone calls, and in-person inquiries within 24 hours.
– Provide accurate information about memberships, events, and amenities.
– Ensure the smooth operation of the coworking space by managing bookings and common areas.

4. Event Support:
– Assist in organizing and promoting community events, workshops, and gatherings.
– Monitor attendance at events and collect feedback for improvement.
– Support in the coordination of catering or special requirements for events.

5. Administrative Support:
– Assist with light administrative tasks, such as member records, document preparation, and internal communications.
– Monitor office supplies and ensure the coworking space is stocked with essentials.
– Manage and maintain the booking system for meeting rooms and private spaces.

6. Special Certifications:
– Support special events with Serving It Right and Food Safe certifications (if applicable).

Qualifications:

1. Required:
– Prior experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in reception or community management.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with members.
– Proficiency in managing social media accounts and creating content.
– Basic administrative skills, including email, phone etiquette, and data entry.
– Availability to work Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM.

2. Preferred:
– Experience in a coworking space or similar community-based environment.
– Knowledge of social media tools and analytics (Instagram Insights, Facebook Analytics, etc.).
– Creativity and initiative in planning and executing member engagement activities.
– Serving It Right and Food Safe certifications (assets, but not required).
